There were protests in Yerushalayim on Monday afternoon 18 Teves following the arrest of at least one chareidi female by IDF authorities. As reported earlier by YWN-ISRAEL a chareidi female was arrested after failing to declare that she cannot serve in the military since she is frum, a standard declaration made by females to receive a deferment from military service.
The arrest of the female led to protests on Sunday night, which resumed in Yerushalayim on Monday, including the Kikar Shabbos area, Bar Ilan Street at the intersection of Tzefanya, and Yirmiyahu and Strauss Street.
A large force of police including Yassam commandos and mounted units responded to the location of both protests.

Just fill out required forms. As we do Dor Yesharim medical in 12th grade, have 12th grade girls fill out their exemption slips to avoid having roads closed, busses harassed
Yassam “commandos”?
Yassam and similar units are paramilitary police

Shame on all of these protesters. If they would at least be serious about what they were doing, it would be partially understandable. But the protesters, and this immature narrator, were all laughing and having a grand old time while they inconvenienced so many, caused police to be away from more important duties &cost the city so much money. Where do they have so much time to waste?!?! I certainly don’t have time to go to protests where I can just spend my time laughing away…And also, why couldn’t this chareidi female get her deferment from serving in the army by going through the system properly instead of causing all this bitul zman, bitul kesef and bitul Torah too. What a messed up society.
